Design of Injection-Stretch-Blow Molding for Floral Bottle with Mouth Thread Based on Rhino Modeling

Abstract：In order to meet the need of mass production of a floral bottle, the three-dimensional industrial appearance modeling of the plastic parts was constructed by Rhino software, and the injection-stretch-blow molding process was selected to molding the plastic parts for the characteristic of the thick-wall thread of the bottle mouth. Two sets of molding mould and a heating device were designed to implement the process. Before the design of the moulds, the injection molding dimensions of the parison were determined by integral method, and the two-plate hot runner injection mould of the parison with twice mould-opening were designed accordingly, which was mainly used for the molding of thick-wall thread of bottle mouth and thin-wall parison of bottle body. Considering the need of softening parison for blow-bulging forming, a reflective square heating device was designed to reheat the parison after injection molding. In order to realize the blow-bulging forming of the bottle body and bottom, a gas-assisted blow-bulging mould was designed, which could be combined with the thread forming block. The mould structure was a two-sectional splicing structure, the forming parts of the bottle body and bottom were divided into different inserts, the rapid cooling was realized by water tank and water pipe. When the mould was closed, the reset and positioning depended on two-stage positioning, the first-level positioning was the guide pillar and guide bush positioning, and the second-level positioning was the precise positioning block positioning. The design of mould structure is simple and practical, and can provide a reference for similar design.
