Effect of Heat Treatment Temperature on Properties of Ramie Fiber Reinforced Phenolic Resin Composites

摘要:将低成本的天然苎麻原麻纤维(RF)分成4组,取3组在氮气气氛中分别对其做150,180,210℃热处理,另一组不做处理。然后采用真空浸渍和模压成型的方法制成酚醛树脂/RF (PF/RF)复合材料。探究了RF不同热处理温度对PF/RF复合材料热稳定性、动态力学性能、拉伸性能、弯曲性能的影响,并采用扫描电子显微镜观察其断裂面的形貌。结果表明,热处理RF能够提高复合材料的性能,当热处理温度为180℃时,复合材料的高温热稳定性最好;其储能模量、拉伸强度、弯曲强度和弯曲弹性模量最优,与未处理相比分别提高15.89%,28.5%,27.4%,16.72%;当热处理温度为150℃时,复合材料的拉伸弹性模量最优,与未处理相比提高了22.31%;热处理能够有效除去RF中的水分,使纤维与树脂结合更好。 
Abstract:It was divided into 4 groups by low-cost natural ramie fiber (RF), and 3 groups were heat-treated at 150, 180, 210℃ in a nitrogen atmosphere, the other group was left untreated. Then phenolic resin/RF composites were made by vacuum impregnation and compression molding. The effects of heat treatment of RF at different temperatures on the thermal stability, dynamic mechanical properties, tensile properties, and bending properties of composites were studied and scanning electron microscope was used to observe the morphology of the fracture surface. The results show that heat-treated RF can improve the properties of its composites. When the heat treatment temperature is 180℃, the high-temperature thermal stability of the composite material is the best, its storage modulus, tensile strength, flexural strength and flexural modulus of the composite material are optimal, which are improved compared with the untreated, respectively, by 15.89%, 28.5%, 27.4% and 16.72%. When the heat treatment temperature is 150℃, the tensile modulus of the composite is optimal, which is 22.31% higher than that of the untreated. The heat treatment can effectively remove the moisture in the RF, and make the fiber and resin bond better.
