Design of Injection Mold with Multi-cavity Thread Extracting for Milk Bottle Cap Based on ZWCAD

Abstract：According to the structural characteristics of the milk bottle cap, an improved three plate injection mold was designed with one mold and eight cavities to carry out large-scale automatic injection production. When the mold works, there are five parting openings. In the single cavity of the mold, a single eccentric point gate was set to inject the mold cavity to ensure the balanced injection of the body and cover of bottle cap. By setting an internal thread demoulding mechanism driven by the hydro-cylinder+rack, the simultaneous demoulding of the internal threads of the plastic parts in eight mold cavities was realized, so as to ensure the consistency of starting point of internal thread demoulding of plastic parts. During demoulding, the cover of bottle cap is first demoulded from the mold cavity through the fixed mold ejection mechanism, the body of bottle cap uses an internal thread demoulding mechanism to demould its inner wall and outer wall, and the mechanism's actions follow in two steps: the first step is the internal thread demoulding of the inner wall, and the second step is the ejection demoulding both of the inner wall reinforcement and outer wall. To meet the action needs of mechanism parts, the mold base was improved from common 3 plates mold base to 6 plates mold base, so as to ensure the execution of the action of mechanism parts.
