High Oxygen Barrier Film of Cyclic Olefin Polymer Modified by Montmorillonite

摘要:为了提高环烯烃聚合物(COC)薄膜的阻隔性能,采用离子交换法制备有机改性蒙脱石(OMMT),通过熔融共混法将其与 COC 进行复合改性,制备了具有高阻隔性能的 COC/低密度聚乙烯(PE-LD)/OMMT 复合膜。 利用傅里叶变换红外光谱仪、X 射线衍射仪、热重分析仪等对 OMMT 和 COC/PE-LD/OMMT 复合膜进行表征,并研究了 OMMT含量对复合膜透光性能、力学性能、热性能 、氧气阻隔性能以及水蒸气阻隔性能的影响。结果表明,OMMT 的层间距增大为原来的 3.12 倍,且在基体中分散良好 ;COC/PE-LD/OMMT 复合膜的玻璃化转变温度和熔融温度分别提高了3.87 ℃和 1.56 ℃ ;复合膜的拉伸强度提高了 37.95%;复合膜的氧气阻隔性能和水蒸气阻隔性能分别提高了 75.93% 和76.47%。COC/PE-LD/OMMT 复合膜的的氧气阻隔性能与水蒸气阻隔性能提升显著,为食品包装和医药包装问题提供更佳安全的解决方案。
Abstract:In order to improve the barrier performance of cycloolefin polymer (COC/COP) films, organic modified montmoril‐ lonite (OMMT) was prepared by ion exchange method and compounded with cyclic olefin polymer by melt blending method to obtain COC/PE-LD/OMMT composite films with high barrier performance. The OMMT and COC/PE-LD/OMMT composite films were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectra, X-ray diffractometer, and thermogravimetric analyzer. Then the effects of OMMT content on the light transmission properties, mechanical properties, thermal properties, oxygen barrier properties and water vapor barrier properties of COC/PE-LD/OMMT composite films were investigated. The results show that the layer spacing of OMMT increases to 3.12 times of the original MMT and OMMT is well dispersed in the matrix. The glass transition temperature and melting temperature of COC/PE-LD/OMMT composite film increases by 3.87 ℃ and 1.56 ℃, respectively. Its tensile strength increases by 37.95%. The oxygen barrier performance increases by 75.93% and the water vapor barrier performance increases by 76.47%. The oxygen barrier performance and water vapor barrier performance of COC/PE-LD/OMMT composite film have been significantly improved, providing better and safer solutions for food packaging and pharmaceutical packaging problems.
